The BGCF is pleased to announce the beginning of renovation in its Cogdill location to include a state-of-the-art Teen Center and a STEM + Art (science, technology, engineering, math and art) Makerspace lab. This renovation will provide increased capacity for both afterschool and summer programs. “This project is about ensuring that the club continues to be a vibrant and vital community resource now and into the future,” said BGCF President/CEO Mark Cox.

The $176,000 for the Cogdill Renovation Project was successfully raised by the BGCF through generous private, local business and Corporate funding ,enabling the organization to commence construction of the much-anticipated Center. “Expanding capacity of the BGCF facilities and programs to serve more kids in our community demonstrates our commitment and the commitment of our business community and community members to helping Flagstaff area youth. This could not have been achieved without the support of our remarkable community and donors, including NPCE, Bridge Church and our industry partners McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.- Northern Arizona office,” said Jon Hansen, Board Member and Loven Construction Vice President.
Bryan Kuster, Senior Vice President of Operations for McCarthy Building Companies said, “Young people are our future, and when we learned about the growing needs in our own backyard, which BGCF is working to address, we wanted to help.”
